At Camping Gäddede you will meet Lili-Marie Wassdahl during your holiday. The stay will undoubtedly give you memorable camping evenings with many possibilities for hiking and other adventures in the surroundings of the beautiful campsite she manages. A place that, in other words, “The camping has flourished under her care since 2010.”
Lili-Marie Wassdahl and her colleagues ensure that guests are doing well. During the summer there is usually good occupation, not by Norwegians in the first place. “Of course we have many foreign guests, but there are also Swedes here. The meetings between the various Nationalities is and remains fascinating,” says Lili-Marie Wassdahl of Gäddede Camping.
A beautiful spot next to the lake is the best a guest wants. A visitor from Austria states that this is one of the most beautiful places he has visited. He raved about the place. “The silence is great and after dinner the view over the lake is fantastic,” he explains.
A typical father and son activity is fishing. In Frostviken there are a lot of lakes and river to choose for your fishing experience. Here are spices like trout, grayling, artic char, pike and many more. “We are proud of our 1 kg catch, we caught this fish after a tip from Lili-Marie where we could find the best fish,” said a Dutch father.
“In high season we don’t need many hours of sleep. The work is great. Because we work in the most beautiful part of the world! We warmly welcome you to Camping Gäddede for a pleasant stay.”

The reception is the centre of the campsite. On the camping you will also find a small but cosy restaurant for food and drinks with a skyline over the lake. The menu includes some typical Swedish dishes, such as meatballs.

The route to the campsite from Strömsund or Vilhelmina via the Wilderness Road (road 342) is an experience in itself. It passes beautiful landscapes, past rivers, lakes and waterfalls, such as the stair-shaped Trappstegsforsen.
